Botswana Buffalo Trail
This adventure safari offers great value for money and is perfect for those with limited time who wish to visit the best wilderness areas in Botswana. Starting in Maun, we drive to Moremi Game Reserve. Encompassing about a fifth of the Okavango Delta this reserve covers both wetland and dry woodland habitats. It is renowned for prolific birdlife and a variety of other animals including buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard and many species of antelope. Sleeping in tents with the calls of the night all around provides a true wilderness experience. Continuing our search for game on early morning and evening forays we move on to Chobe National Park with its extremely diverse landscapes. Commencing in the drier Savuti region there is a good chance of spotting bull elephants before we explore north towards the Chobe River. Game drives here explore wetland environments as we meander along the banks of the river. The distinctive call of the African Fish Eagle and some sizable reptiles are quite common. Our trip concludes in Livingstone, Zambia, but not before time is spent admiring the thunderous Victoria Falls.
