Antarctica Cruise

Antarctica was truly amazing.... Once we hit the Peninsula we had the 2 most amazing days, blue skies, ice, wild life, scenery. Absolutly stunning! The ship was great, good facilities. The crew was absolutly fantastic. Very approachable & informative. It was a very family like atmosphare. The food was delicious and plentyful. And the scenery & wild life.........wow!

Antarctic Highlights

Cruise to the magnificent South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. You will be accompanied by our experienced naturalists and expert crew who know this region so well. We shall fully appreciate this unique, pristine and dramatic region, and enjoy the magnificent wildlife viewing opportunities that are available. Albatross soaring over the Drake Passage, huge penguin colonies on the South Shetland Islands, and the whales and seals that frequent these icy polar waters. Imagine following in the footsteps of the world's greatest explorers, and time permitting visiting a scientific base. As we head south, the Peninsula becomes even more dramatic with towering icebergs, glistening unclimbed peaks and spectacular glaciers. No trip is ever the same, and seeing is believing in this wonderland of rock and ice.

traveller reviews

Just a belated thank you to World Expeditions for the wonderful trip to the Antarctic my sister and I joined last December. From the first day, it was agreed that 1 day on a plane and 2 1/2 days on a ship was a small price to pay to have the chance to enjoy such an amazing experience. The ship was comfortable and crewed by an excellent staff; the size of the vessel was perfect to allow maximum opportunity for the four dozen or so passengers to enjoy the experience (contrasted to many of the other vessels we saw in port in Ushuaia).
Furthermore, the guides provided were professional, knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the great atmosphere of the journey. Our fellow travellers were an outgoing and welcoming bunch too, which made for a wonderful time. I wholeheartedly commend World Expeditions to anyone as a first rate provider of adventure travel - I can't wait for my next opportunity to try another experience (perhaps Kenya at a quiet moment). My sincere thanks to the team.
