Southern Africa Explorer

An excellent, value for money trip. My sister was especially impressed, having little previous experience of camping. The office did an excellent job dealing with our booking.

Botswana Elephant Trail

The diverse and beautiful wilderness of southern Africa is showcased on this itinerary across Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. We camp in the Okavango Delta with its burgeoning wildlife-filled channels and islands. Travelling by traditional dugout canoe, or 'mokoro' , and on foot we hope to see elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest and hippo. We visit the semi-arid parks of Namibia that provide an alternative habitat for wildlife such as elephant, giraffe and zebra. The big game haunts of Moremi and Chobe are home to lions and cheetahs and provide us with the opportunity to see large herds of elephants. We have opportunities to walk amongst World Heritage rock art sites, created over the eons by the diminutive bushmen of southern Africa. Our journey ends in Livingstone, Zambia, home to the mighty Victoria Falls. The Zambezi River plummets more than 100m down a gorge to create the Falls and is a breathtaking spectacle.
