Kilimanjaro Shira Route

Just got back from Mt. Kilimanjaro with my son (we both made it to the peak) and the experience exceeded my expectations in every regard. It was better that I had hoped for and I want to thank you very much for all the assistance, hand holding, and help before the trip. I had never done anything like this, but I can't wait to try it again.

Kenya on Foot

Here is the perfect combination of climbing Kenya's highest peak, Mt Kenya (4985m), with exploring the Masai Mara, one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. During the annual migration from July to September, the Masai Mara is teeming with the largest herds of plains animals on Earth. On this exclusive trek, we walk with Masai guides, encountering villages of their tribespeople and plenty of wildlife. While trekking allows us to experience the animals at a safe distance, game drives allow us to get close to the herds that camp on the banks of the Mara River. Game drives occur within the national park ; we walk on the boundary of the park which is also great preparation for our Mt Kenya ascent. Mt Kenya is a visually stunning peak with a rich diversity of wildlife. With fewer hikers than Kilimanjaro, this trek allows for an exhilarating climb without the crowds. The Chogoria/Sirimon Route offers the best combination of alpine scenery and acclimatisation as we traverse the mountain via Point Lenana at 4985m.
