Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar

I just wanted to drop you folks a note and let you know that I had a wonderful time one the Everest trek in Nepal. World Expeditions did an awsome job from start to finish. The level of professionalism and care that was given each and everyone of us was just beyond words. I would also like to mention our group leader Bir Singh. He is an increadible leader in every aspect. From diplomat to medical expert you have an asset that really goes beyond the call. If you have any type of employee of the month or year he gets my vote for sure!

Cycle Myanmar

Few can argue that Myanmar is a gem of a destination. We explore at handle bar level this welcoming land, which until recently, has been relatively undiscovered by westerners. After flying to Mandalay, our cycling adventure starts in earnest with a ride on the outskirts before returning by boat on the Irrawaddy River. Continuing through timeless villages, we observe traditional lifestyles enroute to Bagan, home to one of the finest collection of temples in South East Asia. Exploring at a gentle pace, this magnificent region uncovers ancient pagodas and temples of a bygone era with intricate carvings, murals and astonishing architecture. At sacred Mount Popa the abode of 'Nats', known as 'Spirits of Ancient Ancestors' we leave our bikes and climb the 700 steps for stunning panoramic views from the golden temple at its summit. Last but not least, Inle Lake with its bustling local markets, handicrafts and stilted villages provides a perfect and relaxing conclusion to this inspiring adventure.

traveller reviews

Thank you for providing a well organised, active, culturally eye opening tour around Myanmar. The people were friendly and the scenery varied and spectacular. I haven't been fed this well since... my last World Expeditions trip! The most memorable part was climbing an ancient pagoda to watch the sun set slowly over hundreds of ancient temples Old Bagan. The view from Mt. Popa over the stunning Taung Kalat was a very close second!
