Everest High Passes

...we shouldn't finish without mentioning admiration for the endlessly busy Mr Lama. He like all World Expeditions staff we met, was very charming and knowledgable, this characteristic seems to be a requirement for employment with the company

GHT Langtang via Tilman Pass

Thousands of pilgrims climb to the sacred Panch Pokhari Lakes during the monsoon, but it will be very unlikely we'll see a soul as we trace their steps. From the bazaar town of Chautara we gradually ascend a long ridge, the Kami Danda, with fabulous views east and west of a chain of mountains that form a natural border with Tibet. W.H. Tilman was the first European to explore this region in 1949, and few have retraced his footsteps. The challenging Tilman Pass leads to Langshisa and the upper Langtang Valley, which offers photogenic sunsets in this wonderful National Park that is beginning to rebuild following the April 2015 earthquake.

Food for thought:
It's rare that trekking companies include meals on trek. But we include 3 hearty meals a day, beverages and water, all carefully prepared. We also cater to most dietary requirements. It's an essential part of our support. Buying food & plastic bottled water means taking unnecessary risk & creates an environmental hazard.
