Andes Adventure

I had an amazing trip! A once in a lifetime experience, and memories I will cherish forever ... the entire experience from booking to trekking was exceptional, I couldn't expect higher standards.

Inca & Altiplano Trek

Trekking in the Andes is an exhilarating experience, combining spectacular alpine scenery with remnants of the Inca civilisation revealing itself along the trails and a strong cultural immersion with your Andean crew. Offering two distinctly unique treks in both Peru and Bolivia, the opportunity to trek the final day of the Inca trail to the Sungate for the classic first view of Machu Picchu and time with the Uros people on lake Titicaca, this is the ultimate active travellers holiday. After acclimatising whilst savouring the historical and cultural highlights of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, we commence our seven day trek. We explore the Andean wilderness following trails in the Cordillera Vilcabamba and establish camps beneath the awesome flanks of 6270m Salcantay (Salkantay ).This stunning trail is less trodden than the busier Inca Trail but we still trek the final day of the legendary Inca Trail for the dramatic post card view of Machu Picchu from the 'Sun Gate'. Machu Picchu is a startling reminder of the rich and vibrant Inca empire that once flourished in the 15th century. Travelling across the vast Altiplano to the world's highest navigable lake, Lake Titicaca, we continue into Bolivia, spending a night on the Island of the Sun. After time on the lake we begin our four day trek in the spectacular Condoriri region. Surrounded by the dramatic Cordillera Real we trek high passes for views of the dramatic snowy peaks and tumbling glaciers, before continuing on to the colonial style capital of La Paz to capture the cultural pulse of Bolivia.

traveller reviews

Overall, it was absolutely fantastic! Javier, our guide, was phenomenal and truly gave a whole new life to the trip. Having previously worked for an outdoors company, I know how much organization and logistical planning goes into each trip, and Javier executed everything perfectly. He knew the terrain, knew the country, was obviously extremely experienced, and had a great attitude towards trekking.
The food in Peru, as well as the entire team (horseman etc) were absolutely fabulous. I looked forward to every single meal!
