Great Wall Trek

I so appreciated to spend those days close to the Wall and not just to “fly in” for one day. This enables me to get a bit of a “feel” for the country. To be with the Chinese crew also was a privilege I won’t forget. Our tour guide gave us valuable insights. I am thankful that I could be part of this challenge, it was worth it.

Wild Scotland

This voyage offers wonderful opportunities to discover the archaeological wonders of the remote Scottish Isles. We cruise towards the Outer Hebrides, visiting tiny islands shaped over time by the ferocious Atlantic storms such as the spectacular Isle of Skye, which boasts sea lochs of unsurpassable beauty; home to Europe's largest sea bird and breeding seal colonies, as well as fantastic rock stacks and secluded beaches. Closer to Norway than to Scotland, the Shetland archipelago offers a gamut of relics from the Viking occupation including Mousa - home to the world's best preserved broch, and Lerwick - Shetlands ancient capital. In the Orkney Islands we have the opportunity to cruise to Skara Brae, a 5000 year old Neolithic village, and see an amazing sea stack known as the Old Man of Hoy. If conditions permit, we will land on Hirta in remote St Kilda - a World Heritage Site with the world's largest colony of Guillemots. We will sail to the Scottish city of Aberdeen, where our trip concludes.
