Larapinta Trek

We had a wonderful time on our recent 8 day Larapinta Trek. The trip was made all the more enjoyable by the assistance of our guides Adrian and Craig. Their flexibility, steady temperaments, knowledge, friendship, experience, sense of humor and ability in the kitchen took all the difficulties out of our experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything that should have happened happened, and happened when it should have. They made the whole experience for us a simple walk in the bush. We could not reccommend them more highly.

Classic Larapinta Trek

Since 1995, we've led the way in this outstanding walking destination and our new stylish semi-permanent campsites continue to set the standard on the Larapinta Trail. This is a fully supported trek, you walk with just a day pack and are accommodated in our beautifully designed exclusive permanent campsites. Relax after a day on the trail with facilities including hot showers, comfortable lounges and heated dining shelter. The Larapinta Trek is one of the best walks in Australia and the most popular walk with our travellers. On the high ridge lines of the West MacDonnell Range you'll gain a rare perspective of the vast flood plains & rocky outcrops that form this ancient land. Each stage is selected for spectacular scenery and well graded trails between eight and sixteen kilometres walking each day. You'll have plenty of time to reflect on the dynamic landscape with walks that are as achievable as they are satisfying. The Larapinta Trail is surprisingly diverse, with high ridgeline traverses, narrow canyons, stunning gorges and idyllic waterholes. Highlights include the impressive Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. An ascent of Mt Sonder (1380m) gains a perfect vantage point from where you can see the length of the entire West MacDonnell Range.

traveller reviews

We had the most wonderful time on the Larapinta Trail starting on 29th June with Nicole as our main guide, Simon, Brenton and Will who was in training. The guides were fabulous and kept us oldies all going and all very happy with ourselves at the end of the 6 days. They managed the group so well, cooked delicious meals and were all very informative and helpful. You have a very good team there. I look forward to investigating more of your adventures in the years to come.
