Kilimanjaro Shira Route

Just got back from Mt. Kilimanjaro with my son (we both made it to the peak) and the experience exceeded my expectations in every regard. It was better that I had hoped for and I want to thank you very much for all the assistance, hand holding, and help before the trip. I had never done anything like this, but I can't wait to try it again.

Kilimanjaro - Rongai Route

The sight of the permanent snow-capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m) provides a constant source of inspiration when viewed from the vast plains below. It is also a natural focus for any fit trekker keen to summit the highest peak in Africa. While the ascent does not require any technical climbing, the trails are demanding and a sound level of fitness and an ability to acclimatise are essential pre-requisites before attempting the summit. The Rongai Route begins in attractive farmland and delightful forest, with the opportunity for viewing black and white colobus monkeys, and passes through several different climate zones. This route retains a sense of unspoilt wilderness and offers a different perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from the north east. From the alluring summit of Uhuru Peak (5895m) we will have amazing 360 views of the surrounding plains.

traveller reviews

I was so impressed by the organisation and people from your company; there was nothing I could fault. The briefing the evening before we left was very thorough. The attention to detail by the guide Abraham and his team was outstanding. The level of hygiene was excellent and no person suffered any problems. The type and amount of food prepared and served by the cook was excellent, and gave us the energy required to complete the next day's walk. Plus the work the porters did to ensure our bags, tents and other equipment arrived before us, and that the camp was always set up and ready. Abraham and his team always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. My highest praise is reserved for the guides on summit day. Without their help and support, I would not have made it to the summit. Thank you for making the trip such a positive and rewarding experience.
