Southern Africa Explorer

An excellent, value for money trip. My sister was especially impressed, having little previous experience of camping. The office did an excellent job dealing with our booking.

Botswana

Take an adventure holiday in BOTSWANA with World Expeditions, one of the world’s leading travel companies.

The landlocked nation of Botswana in southern Africa is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west, Zambia to the north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast. Botswana is predominantly flat and is dominated by the Kalahari Desert which covers close to 70% of the land surface. The Okavango Delta found in the north west of the country is known as the world’s largest inland delta. Botswana’s diverse areas of wildlife habitat, including the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert, savanna and grasslands makes it home to many mammals and birdlife.

World Expeditions Botswana safari adventures take advantage of the seemingly never ending kilometers of wetlands, channels, islands and lagoons found on the Okavango Delta. With our experienced local guides, we travel by mokoro (traditional canoes) and on foot, encountering wildlife as the Africans always have, without the barriers of vehicles. The skill and understanding of our guides ensures we have access to great wildlife experiences, without endangering the animals or ourselves. Keep a keen eye; we are on the look out for elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, hippo and kudu!

We have a fantastic range of safari holidays in Botswana to suit everyone. Choose from a variety of options that spend time wildlife spottiing in the Chobe National Parks or Moremi Game Reserve, include a mokoro dugout ride in the Okavango Delta, take in a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls or include an excursion to the stunning sand dunes in Namibia.
