MARKETING MANAGER - Sydney CBD - Full Time, 12 month maternity contract
Do you live and breathe adventure travel, have at least 3 years marketing experience, consider yourself well organized and embrace the information revolution that is the internet? Then we have the dream job for you with a worldwide adventure travel company. This successful and well established independent adventure travel tour operator specialising in escorted small group tours and self guided tours throughout the world including the Himalaya, Asia, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Africa and beyond.
Our full-time Sydney CBD based position will require the successful candidate to be comfortable in a fast paced environment, web savvy and passionate about trekking and adventure travel. You will have a natural creative flair, an eye for spotting new promotional channels, have traveled extensively, display excellent social networking skills and of course possess a talent for verbal, written and IT tasks, including web management, SEO and online advertising. You will be required to work under your own initiative and have a proven track record in creative marketing. For someone with ambition this is an opportunity to make a real difference!
Your daily tasks will includes overseeing the online and offline advertising, implementing on/offline promotions, updating and generating new content for our social media pages and blogs (with support of the marketing coordinator), assisting with the production of brochures, improving the UX across multiple websites and managing the content on these sites, composing e-newsletters, assisting with improving our SEO rankings, managing special events, leveraging and identifying opportunities for the PR Manager to consider, fostering relationships with key partners and preferred travel agents and constantly seek new channels of distribution. Reporting to the CEO you will be comfortable in analyzing results and working within allocated budgets.
Necessary Skills Required for the Role:
*Experience gained within a similar multi brand marketing role
*Strong design and creative skills
*Experience in the travel industry is desirable and preferably the adventure travel industry
*Sound time management and organisational skills
*Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
*Good interpersonal skills
*Competent in Indesign, Photoshop & all Microsoft Office programmes
*Competent with IT systems, websites and XML technology
*High energy, positive "can do" spirit and strong team ethic

World Expeditions Larapinta trekking guides - Alice Springs, Northern Territory
World Expeditions is seeking professional guides for the forthcoming winter season to lead and/or assist our Larapinta - End to End, Classic and Experience expeditions.
The season will begin with an induction from 31 March 2015, with the season running through to the end of September.
Applicants will need to be flexible in their work approach and must hold relevant qualifications or experience for bushwalking in tracked areas, LWFA and also hold or be willing to obtain LR drivers licence and public passenger accreditation.

World Expeditions employs a number of guides to lead adventures in a variety of disciplines. In all our adventures, World Expeditions uses local staff where possible. Thus our Nepal treks are led by Nepali's, our Peru treks by Peruvians. Where jobs do arise is leading some of our Mountaineering trips. We are interested in applications from experienced professional guides in High Altitude Mountaineering.
If you have at least 2 years commercial wilderness guiding experience in any of these areas, we are happy to receive your application. Applications with less than this experience will not be considered.
