Today you will have a full day to visit the spiritual capital of Morocco. From a small hill and the old Borj you enjoy a nice view to the city of Fes, one of the most preserved medieval Islamic cities in the world. Your guide will accompany you to the old Medina, through the very narrow streets, to the souks. The major sites are the Karaouine Mosque, the Medersas, the Nejjarine place and the souks. You will feel the spirit and life of ancient times, it seems as if you are transported back in time.
While walking in the Medina you will discover all ingredients and traditionally processed food of the major Moroccan dishes. Fes is also famous for its traditional cooking. The sites and places outside the Medina are also interesting such as Jedid, the Royal palace, the old Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah. You can also visit the ceramic factory where production continues in the same manner as the last century. This evening you will dine in a traditional Moroccan restaurant.
