We start our visit with a cable mounted on the 'Cerro Monserrate' (3,150m). We discover the Basilica of Santa María la Cruz Monserrate built in 1650. The panoramic views of the valley and the city are unique. We continue walking and discovering the heart of the city and the neighborhood of La Candelaria with its wonderfuly preserved colonial streets. We visit the 'Plaza Bolivar', where we can find the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the City of Bogotá, 'Primada' Cathedral, the Chapel 'Del Sagrario' and the Archbishop's Palace. We explore the neo-classical façade of the Colon Theater and the beautiful church of Santa Clara. We conclude with a visit to the Botero Foundation generously donated by the great Colombian painter, which contains, in addition to works by Botero, 85 paintings by the great Impressionist masters. Then Botero Foundation and Casa Moneda… A must see for its religious reliquary monstrance of the eighteenth century that weighs 5 kilos of gold and precious stones. Overnight: Hotel Opera or similar.
