After a morning mediation session we begin our walking for the day. The track takes us to the ranges of Inarlanga (Echidna) Pass and to the Ochre Pits, a sacred ochre quarry. The rainbow of vibrant colours on the wave-like ochre wall makes this a very special place to sit and meditate on the journey thus far.
After a picnic lunch we visit Ormiston Gorge, a region of wonderful wildlife: Spinifex Pidgeon, wild Budgerigar, Rock Wallabies and Mistletoe Bird to name a few. Having experienced some of the unforgettable highlights of the Larapinta Trail, we return past the scenic West Macdonnell Ranges to Alice Springs. We will drop you at your accommodation at approximately 5-6pm.
